The Smith-Zimmerman Museum explores the colorful people and places that helped to knit together the history of this fascinating region. Exhibits at the museum include a study of the pioneers who first settled the area in the 1850s, and a selection of artifacts that explore the diverse nationalities of the early settlers. The museum is located on the Dakota State University campus, north of the city center.
